Sultry

This is the last of my swaps for this month, this one is for a sketch challenge.

For this card I used 3 different papers from the Basic Grey Sultry 6" x 6" pad . I outlined the flowers on the paper to make them pop a bit and then used a little glitter on them. The sentiment is from a set by Rubbernecker Stamps.

3D Petunias

This is the second of my swaps for this month on CCC. This is for the 'Express Yourself'  swap.

This card illustrates well I think the difference between embossing with a stencil and light box and embossing with a Cuttlebug folder. I embossed the frame for the flowers with the Anja Style FE 6105 corner stencil and the sentiment with a Cuttlebug folder. As you can see the stencil embossing is much finer. The flowers are from a 3D sheet from my stash.

CCC swap -Tulips

I have been very lax in making cards so far this month.  I do have my swap obligations to fulfill so this is the first one. It is for the Tulip swap on CCC. The image is a free digi image that I found online but I don't remember where I found it. The image circle is glued to the scalloped circle and then the two are raised with dimensional tape.

Supplies: Martha Stewart edge punch and score board. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle die. Prismacolor pencils, OMS. White gel pen

Simple, simple

I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share today.

For this card I used a $1 stamp that I found at a Michael's I usually don't go to. I have discovered that not all the stores have the same $1 stamps! The papers are from a Basic Grey Archaic 6x6 stack.

When you colored the image and then don't have paper or card stock in the right color......go with black and white it goes with everything! LOL That is what happened here. I stamped the image from a clear set from Inkadinkado that I bought at the weekend on sale at Joann's. Once again....and I should have learned by now....I colored the image with pencils before I checked my paper stash! Another find at the weekend was this new to me MS punch which was on clearance.

Now I am going to clear off my desk which is disgusting. I love to make the mess but hate cleaning it up!

Blossoms

I have been having fun using my stencils again. I have had this stencil for a while but just got around to using it.

I used one of the Classic Emily 2  templates to do the embossing and I did a lot of cutting on this one with cutting out the stencil parts and the 3D blossoms! The 3D sheet and the peel off sentiment sticker both came from England. I find that even with the exchange rate and postage it is often much less expensive to order from England and the choice is greater. These are a couple of sites I have ordered from.
Nikki Crafts Great prices on 3D sheets and great, fast service.! She does accept Paypal but you have to email her and tell her that you are in the US and want to pay with Paypal.
The Art of Craft Stencils and 3D sheets here and also great service. You can now order online from this site.

Oh how I love to enable! LOL

Happy Mother's Day

To all the mother's who read my blog Happy Mother's Day to you all. This is the card I made for my daughter-in-law who is the mother of my only two grandchildren. I hope you got the card already Robin!

I printed the flowers from Dover Publications twice and then used  stencil EH 1824. I colored the flowers and two extra flower heads with pencils and OMS. The two extra flower heads are attached with dimensional tape. The sentiment is on the inside.

Orchids and Peonies

The new stencils I ordered on Tuesday night and were mailed on Wednesday got here on Thursday! My faith in the USPS is almost restored. I say almost because not one but three pieces of mail that members of CCC mailed on April 15th and 16th still have not been received!

This is the first card I made with my new stencils. I used a part of a border stencil EH 1825. The orchids are from a 3D sheet I ordered from England.

For this card I used the other new stencil I ordered. It is an Anja Style Corner FE6105 corner stencil with four different corners so there are a lot of possibilities with this stencil. Both stencils can be ordered HERE  Again the 3D sheet came from England.

Wishing all Mother's a very happy and relaxed Mother's Day!

I am home!

I am back from my trip to St. Louis. I had a great time and met up with some old friends including one from England and two from New Zealand.
I have only made 2 cards since I have been home and one I can't share yet but here is the one I can share.

This is a pretty simple card using a digi image,  Pansy Line,  from Fred She Said. I colored it with pencils, used a sentiment from Hero Arts CL272 and then used the MS score board to score a line at the top and bottom of the panel. I used a MS border punch on the black panel and again used the MS score board to score a line above the lattice and at the top of the panel.

I have ordered a couple more embossing stencils and can't wait until my order gets here so that I can play with them!
