Precious Memories

I recently purchased the Spellbinders Rose Creations dies. This is the first rose I made with the dies. I only made one and didn't add any color as I was experimenting with watercolor paper to make the rose but I liked the way it turned out well enough to use it on a card.

I used kraft cardstock for the card base. The aperture was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Labels 18. For the sentiment I used a smaller die from the same set. After stamping with Versamark ink and embossing with white embossing powder cut out the sentiment then used the same die as a stencil, tracing around the outside of the die and cutting it out with scissors. The other die is from Marinanne Designs and the butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. There are tiny holeless pearls on the butterfly bodies but they are hard to see!

Side fold diamond card.

I am finally getting everything in order on my newly restored desktop. The directions, in inches, for the side fold diamond card (2 posts ago) can be found HERE I will be back later with another card.

Nellie Snellen dies

These are some sample cards I made for Dutch Paper Crafts with Nellie Snellen dies. You can order the dies from Darlene HERE

Nellie Snellen die MFD029

MFD030 The image is a digi from Sugar Nellie.

 MFD031.
This package has 2 corner dies. One is a positive die that I cut and glued onto the card. The second is a negative die that I used 4 times to make a border.

MFD032

I used dies from 2 different sets for this card. MFD029 and MFD030.

MFD033.

I think this is my favorite. The die cuts tiny holes in the scallops so that you can stitch if you would like. I saved the cut outs from the die and glued them onto the inside.

Upright diamond fold card

I found the directions for making this card HERE. The problem was the directions are metric so I had to work things out for inches as I don't do metric! Now I have another problem I saved my directions that I planned to share with you to my computer but that computer is having problems so I don't have access to my files .( I am doing this post on my laptop) I will add my directions as soon as I can get to my files.
Edited to add:- You can find the PDF with the directions in inches HERE

This is the front of the card. The stamp is from Flourishes stamped, colored and cut out with Spellbinders Labels 10.

The inside of the card I decorated using a part of a stamp from Stampin Up. The corners and hearts are from Cuttlebug and the rest of the embellishments from Marianne Designs Createables

Beccy's Front Door

My friend Beccy drew a lovely front door that she is sharing on her blog. I love pictures of doors so I just had to make a card with it. You can find a line drawing and a colored image HERE.

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid. I used the Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug folder on the green frame around the image and then used dimensional tape to raise it up. The sentiment is a 1989 Stampendous stamp from my collection. I have no idea why I bought it all those years ago because I have only been stamping and card making for 3 years!

One year ago today I launched my Yahoo Group Card Camp. It has been a fun year with a lot of learning, sharing and caring. Happy Birthday Card Camp!

Chill Out in stitches

This is a card I made for a swap  'Dog Days Of Summer' on Card Camp. Here in Texas we are certainly in the dog days of summer with temperatures in the 100's every day.

The stamp is an older $1 stamp from Michaels.  It is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid and cut out with Nestabilities lacy squares.

This card is for the second swap I joined for August on Card Camp. For this card we had to have stitching on the card....real or faux.

The floral image I used for this card is a free digi image from Beccy. You can find it HERE I used a Nellie Snellen die MFD 033 and faux stitched with a  blue Micron pen.

Rose and Cream

In my wandering around blog land I saw a card on I think a Polish blog that I fell in love with. I forgot to bookmark the page so I tried to CASE the card from memory.

This is the front of the card. The front and back are cut separately and joined together.

This is the card opened. I should have put ribbon to hold it together when folded as It has a mind of it's own and springs open. If I I will remember that the next time I make a card like this....if I ever do!

A close-up of the left inside of the card.

A close-up of the right inside of the card, There is a pocket with a tag to write a message on.

Edited to add. This is the link to the card I cased. Thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction!
